Established in July 1927, Soldiers’ Settlement Public School is a Preschool to Year 6 public school located close to the beachside suburbs of Maroubra and Malabar. Situated on Menin Road, the school is only a short walk from Heffron Park, a facility well utilised by the school for sport and various activities.
At our school, learning extends beyond the classroom walls into our vast, expansive play and outdoor learning spaces. We believe that education should encompass not only academic growth but also the holistic development of each child's physical, social, and emotional wellbeing. Our outdoor environments offer abundant opportunities for students to explore, discover, and engage with the world around them.
We are a short walk to Maroubra and Malabar beaches and our school culture is that of strong community, inclusion and positive relationships. Staff, parents and students work together to promote school excellence.
We offer a diverse range of methodologies aimed at fostering both student learning and wellbeing. These encompass not only explicit teaching but also comprehensive approaches to literacy and numeracy across the entire school community. Additionally, we incorporate various other programs and practices to ensure a holistic educational experience for our students including student wellbeing, Creative and Performing Arts and Positive Behaviour for Learning (PBL).
